My story

How I Became a Professional

My sincere passion as a Child & Family clinician is to journey with individual & family members, work through the blurriness of their lives challenging bumps. My educational background in the United Kingdom and Canada includes a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), a Bachelor Degree in Social Work with honors (BSW). I am registered (RSW) and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW). In addition, I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Worker, (OASW).

Prior to entering into Social Work, I worked as a British NNEB (equivalent to an ECE), for 4 years in the UK, and for 10 years in Canada, I migrated to Canada in 1999. Healing Wings Family Therapy Services is designed as a solution for people searching for traditional mental health counseling who would prefer hearing from the perspective of a Christian. If you are aspiring to a mental health professional who is a practicing Christian, Healing Wings Family Therapy Services may represent an excellent option for you.

After working as a ECE, I continued my career with Social Services, by supporting, advocating families and individuals residing in the shelter system. This included providing supportive counseling to populations experiencing mental health and addiction symptoms, linking and connecting vulnerable individuals to community services and resources.
